EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Misha pursues proactive preparedness passions in the Emergency & Disaster Management and Homeland Security industries. She is actively involved in the academic community and is completing her Ph.D. in Global Security Studies.
Misha also works for the Vermont Department of Health as a Public Health Emergency Preparedness Specialist III, liaising between and supporting EMS and Public Safety partnerships, public & community health allies &, and Federal agencies prioritizing public health emergency preparedness.
Misha remains committed to educational approaches, personal growth & development, and nurturing healthy relationships while strengthening new partnerships among aligning agencies and academic & professional colleagues, increasing interoperability among industry leaders and tactical operatives.
Experiences lived, and current data support her mission goals. Though preventative efforts may not always be successful, businesses, municipalities, or corporations can enhance recovery and resilience through supportive mitigation practices.
TRAINING SITE ADMINISTRATOR
Erin received her MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University in 2001 and has run a successful consulting business providing technology and document services for government and private organizations since 2004. Erin has lived in Woodstock since 2014. She is trained as a paramedic and firefighter and is an experienced AHA and EMS instructor.
During the pandemic, she worked full time at Woodstock Fire Department and saw first hand how important crisis management planning is. She also works per diem as a Medical Assistant at the Ottauquechee Health Center and is a ski patroller at Saskadena 6 Ski Resort.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR
Sandy has been a firefighter & EMS provider for over 40 years (currently serving with Orwell Fire Department; Orwell First Response, Vergennes Area Rescue and Woodstock Fire/Rescue) as well as serving as the Emergency Management Director for the Town of Orwell - and is the recipient of the 2022 Vermont Emergency Management Director of the Year award. He is also the Technical Safety Delegate for Green Mountain Horse Association.
Sandy runs a graphic design and marketing company in Vermont, and worked in the motion picture and television industry for decades, earning an Emmy for his work. For nearly a decade, Sandy was also an adjunct professor in Advertising Art & Graphic Design at Castleton College.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Serving as a consultant to CMPLLC, Richard Marasa, MD
is a board certified emergency medicine physician at
Mt. Ascutney Hospital. He will provide medical direction
for all of our courses.
FINANCE LOGISTICS
Joan moved to Vermont in 1994 and had to make a career change from a Lab Tech for a Global Chemical Company to a Customer Service Representative in a financial institution.
In 2002, she attained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting while still working at the local financial institution, and she also held a community service bookkeeping position from 2002 thru 2009. A commercial Loan Fund Manager Position followed by another Lab Tech/Quality Control Position at a manufacturing facility. After 7 years, she realized that bookkeeping was her true passion.
Joan returned to her hometown in Vermont and accepted the Management Position of Payroll Specialist, where she worked her way up to HR, and back-up AP, and wore many other hats during the almost 14 years of employment
Joan is experienced with:
Corporate Compliance, HIPPA, and Workman’s Comp Insurance Filings. Yearly prep work for financial audits, 1099’s, Employer and Employee Federal and State Tax filings,
Unemployment Reporting, and Monthly financial reports.
